Connecting Orchard managed devices to the FMRIB and Annexe network

By default, unauthentication devices will be on the OWL Visitor network which has no internet access. To access the internet you need to authenticate.

Orchard managed devices should already have all the necessary configuration applied, so to authenticate, open System Preferences > Network and click on your Ethernet adaptor.

The top-level ethernet configuration window

Click on 'Details...' then select '802.1x' from the sub-window.

Selecting the 802.1x settings

If you have more than one 802.1X profile (you might have one for Eduroam or the legacy FMRIB network login profile), then you will need to select it from the drop-down menu next to '802.1X'. Then click 'Connect'.
In the credentials window enter your Eduroam/University Remote Access credentials (e.g. <sso>@OX.AC.UK) - tick the box to allow for automatic connection in the future.
