Winners announced at the first OxCIN Summer Party

Each year, we award Good Citizen Awards to recognise and celebrate those individuals who go above and beyond the requirements of their role to enhance the life of the Centre. This year's winners were announced at our first Summer Party that took place at OHBA last week.

In the Teaching & training category, Cristiana Tisca, Simon Finney and Paul McCarthy were recognised for their work on the Graduate Course, FSL, and MRS support respectively. Sage Boettcher received a Career Development & Mentoring award for the exceptionally supportive research culture she fosters within her group.

In the category Promoting Collaboration, Elizabeth de Guzman was acknowledged for her contributions to preclinical collaboration and training, and Will Clarke and Laurel Morris for their efforts in organising the Scanning the Horizon workshop (among many other things).

In the Engagement category, Ronan McNeill received an award for his wide-ranging contributions to community involvement and inclusion.

Ellie Higginbotham and Samira Abdelhamid embody the spirit of positive culture, and were both awarded a Culture & Community award for their work on bringing people together across sites. Lara Bolte was celebrated for all her work on peer support, career development and mentoring. And finally, the All-round Good Egg award went to Anna Guttesen, for her efforts in everything from Open Science to knitting, and adding so much kindness and positivity to our environment.

Many congratulations to everyone!
